A subject rarely addressed by other artists, the EP presents a mix of emotions: it confronts a somber reality yet brings forth a sense of happiness and contentment when listened to. It creates an authentic, unconventional surf atmosphere as it conveys themes of deteriorating meaningful connections and the diminishing human purpose in the digital era.
The EP features Eduardo's father’s ukulele and a craviola, a 12-string Brazilian guitar, adding a unique texture to their sound when combined with the electric bass. Leo Maristi and Virgilio Milleo helped produce and record the album at Virgilio's studio, Audio Stamp, in Curitiba, Brazil. Leo recommended using a güiro for percussion, which gave the Digital Prayer album a distinctive vibe that matched the Los Imigrantes style.
Los Imigrantes' music is characterized by its organic feel, reflecting the duo's commitment to preserving their cultural heritage while expressing their personal perspectives on the world as immigrants. The Brazilian-Mexican duo chose chameleons as the theme for their cover art because, like chameleons changing colors to adapt to their surroundings, immigrants must adapt to new environments to thrive. Additionally, humans must constantly adjust to a digital world as they become increasingly dependent on technology—hence the name of the album, Digital Prayer.
